Mr. Yoshiyuki Kato started his career in 1991 with Panasonic Corporation with the product planning team for Lighting division, after graduating from Osaka institute of Technology in Japan. As a Manager, he was involved in product, strategy and sales planning. After working across departments for ten years, he was appointed as the General Manager, Overseas Lighting Business Department of the company in 2012 where he overlooked and strategised the group’s lighting business in the Professional lighting sector.

 2013 he assumed the role of Lighting Director of Anchor Electricals Pvt Ltd. Even though fluorescent lamps were still the mainstream at the time, he was quick to declare his intention to enter the LED business and decided to exit the fluorescent lamp business. As a result, the lighting business has grown significantly and is now the next pillar of Panasonic Life Solutions India
